Reehers Camp

Untitled_Panorama1

Reeher Camp is the site of a CCC camp established to plant trees on land left barren by the 1933 Tillamook Burn. The area is now thickly forested with hiking and horse trails that can be accessed from the campground. The campground has 10 horse sites and 7 regular sites. Horse sites are not to be used by regular campers and vise versa. The campsites are spaced far apart with a lot of foliage between them. They are fairly level and long enough for most RVs. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water, tables, and fire rings.

None of the sites are designated as accessible but most are usable. The ground is hard packed, the tables have a long overhang, and the fire pits have an open side. A very short trail at the campground entrance is accessible. A scenic but slightly uphill walk through the forest can be had by following the road which is hard packed, fairly smooth, and gets little traffic.  Campground  45.7071, -123.334
