Point Pleasant Riverfront Park

Murals depicting the history of Point Pleasant stretch along the river side of the floodwall. There are also several large stainless steel sculptures created by local artist Bob Roach and a few interpretive signs. A mile long trail follows the river. The location of the Silver Bridge which collapsed on December 15, 1967, killing 46 people and injuring 9, can be viewed from the trail. A replacement bridge, the Silver Memorial Bridge, was built about 1 mile downstream.
The park is accessible. A very short section of the trail is paved. The rest is surfaced with rough gravel and is not accessible.

RVs can be parked on the surrounding streets. We parked in a lot on the corner of Main and Third. The sidewalk curb cuts are steep. Park 38.8428, -82.13964
