Mason and Chloe come for a short visit...catch up
Last Friday the 15th Mason and Chloe rolled in earlier than I thought they would. we visited out in the outdoor kitchen until late. I had made pulled pork for sandwiches which we had sometime during the evening. John and Karen came over to visit with the kids and took some dinner home with them. It was a really good night.

Saturday morning we got up and enjoyed the morning. I had a request for French Toast and bacon so that's what they got :). Basically spent most of the day just visiting. Tuna sandwiches for lunch because that's always Mason's request 😁
Later in the afternoon the kids got ready to go as they had a photo shoot in North Lake Tahoe. I can't wait to see those pictures!
Sunday of course is Champagne Sunday, not that Chloe and I didn't have some on Saturday LOL.
Ken and I decided on cauliflower pizza since it's been awhile. Oh it was so good! We started out in the outdoor kitchen with a nice fire going, but it was so cold! The winds were blowing hard and didn't stop all day! We thought we had a few raindrops at one point, nope snowflakes! 😱 After the pizza was baked we decided to be smart and go inside our perfectly good home and make a fire in there. That's where we spent the afternoon! Some common sense right?!! LOL.

Monday we were home all day and got some things done!
Tuesday we had to run to Gardnerville to pick up some prescriptions for Ken. We decided to stop in Topaz and get some breakfast. Ken ordered their Chicken Fried Steak. Oh was that something! I didn't take a picture but sure should have. When we have breakfast out I order 2 eggs and then he gives me a piece of toast and some hash browns. I get more than enough with that. I took a piece of his steak, sinful! The gravy was the best I've ever had in a restaurant! Need their recipe LOL.
We picked up his prescriptions and headed back home. It's 112 mile round trip. That meal kept us full all day!
Wednesday was an at home day, just cleaning etc. I ordered some new food storage containers and spent part of the day cleaning out kitchen cabinets and dumping the old. We did go next door for Happy Hour catching up with Karen and seeing the pups.
Today is a beautiful sunshiny day. A little porch and window cleaning is in my future.
Tomorrow we're heading to Tonopah, NV for Jim Butler Days. We haven't been in a few years so figured why not. Time for some street dancing and a parade! Woohoo. Love that little town!
